We are fundraising to help raise £10,200 to build a permanent school kitchen with a storeroom.
Our school badly need a kitchen with a storeroom. This cause disruption to the school day during rainy season and rain days. Water floods in the temporary kitchen and this lead to difficult cooking and thus give a lot of time to the school cook and very many times cause delay in lunch hours and thus affecting children studies. It constantly happen that sometimes pupils do have there lunch 2 hours past school lunch time due to disruption of rain and bad weather.
Additionally to this children food security in the temporary kitchen is not safe as there is easy access and most times school food is stored in children classroom thus unhealthy and not recommended by ministry of education as it as well cause disruption by the cooks in children lessons.
